The Big Chill

Well it's a bit chilly down here in Texas, and I know anyone that reads this from up north is laughing at us right now.

It is currently 33 degrees outside, and everyone is freaking out about ice. Granted we don't get much ice along the Gulf coast, but I think it's humerous that at the first sign of ice everything shuts down. So let's put this into perspective.

Houston currently 33 with a wind chill 23 degrees
Helena, MT currently 15 degrees with a wind chill 9 degrees
Duluth, MN 6 degree with a wind chill -10 degrees, and can you believe it the kids in Duluth had to go to school today, while half of Houston kids got a second day off from school, and I had to go to work.

Now science and physics are not different down here in the lone star state. Water does freeze at only 32 degrees, but 33 is close enough for us.

They say everything is bigger in Texas, well the fear of driving on more that a dirt road falls into that catagory. (Sorry- that's just a stereotype, but funny none the less)

Happy Driving

Be safe out there, and wha
